2024 ACJV update # 14

(Our Seddon 9am Sunday services & our Ward service on December 1 continue as usual).

Hi everyone,

1) My phone is broken

I have smashed my phone! (Not on purpose!). I am getting a new one delivered. So, for the next few days please contact me by email, or you could even use the landline!

2) Christmas dates

We will be having our usual Sunday services in December, plus some special Christmas events:

Sunday December 15: Christmas Play, Epiphany, Seddon, 9 am. (Practice 10 am Saturday December 14th). Please contact Sara if you would like to be involved.

Sunday December 22: Carols, Ellerton, Kēkerengū. 5:30 pm. BBQ to follow. (This event replaces our normal Kēkerengū service).

Christmas Eve: Carols & cake, St. Peter’s, Ward, 7 pm. 

Christmas Day: Service, Epiphany, Seddon, 10 am

Advent Prayer:

Fridays, 7:30 – 8:30 am. Epiphany. Don't worry if you can only drop in for a few minutes, you are still welcome.

3) Children, youth and families.

Part of our 2024 and 2025 mission statement is developing pathways to faith. Two particular focus areas the management team is considering are under 5's and middle school young people and their families.

The management team is now taking a step of faith and is working towards employing a youth and families staff member for 12 hours per week. The Job Description is currently being written in consultation with the Diocese.

We are also working on re-starting a ministry for under 5's and their caregivers called 'Bubbachinos'. This will be a mid week get together featuring music and movement for our young ones and coffee and conversation for their caregivers. This will most likely start in Seddon.
