We are Christian

We worship one God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Our core beliefs are expressed in the Apostles, Nicene and Athanasian Creeds.

This means we have good news to share! One of Jesus’ close friends, Peter wrote these words: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! The Awatere Christian Joint Venture (ACJV) resulted from the merging of the Anglican and Presbyterian churches of the area in 1992. 

Since 1992 we have worked hard to develop the church as a community church. This has resulted in a wide socio-economic base and many denominations represented within our fellowship.
