2025 ACJV update # 4
Hi church,
From Sunday April 6th our service time at Seddon will be changing to 10 am.
ACJV Easter Services:
Good Friday – St. Peter’s, Ward, 10 am.
Easter Sunday – Church of the Epiphany, Seddon, 10 am.
Our Easter Sunday service will be followed by a sausage sizzle, and some fun games.
Hope Explored
“There are few emotions more powerful than hope. But these days, hope often feels hard to come by.”
In term 2, we will be offering a three-week course called Hope Explored. Hope Explored features teaching from Rico Tice and studies from Luke’s Gospel. Hope Explored shows how Jesus offers us a hope worth having, a hope that won’t disappoint us.
We want to give people choice on how they engage with Hope Explored, so we will equip people to run the course with friends. Training will run over 3-4 weeks on Monday nights in Seddon. If you are keen to run a course but can’t make Monday nights, then contact me (John).
We also want to invite people to a meal where they can find out about Hope Explored and decide if they would like to do the course.
Then we will run the course. We will offer Hope Explored on Monday nights, but I expect there will be people doing the course with one or two friends at a convenient time and place.
Please be in prayer about this opportunity. There seems to be an uptick in interest in the message of Jesus. So, let’s give people an opportunity to explore the joyful expectation that Jesus gives.
Confirmation opportunity
Bishop Steve is visiting us on June 8th. This is an opportunity for anyone who was baptised as a child or young person to complete their baptism and to declare publicly that Jesus is Lord. Please contact me if you are interested in confirmation.
God Bless,
John
