2025 ACJV update #1

Hi there church,

It's good to be back home & to be getting set up for the year. Here's what's on the horizon:

Growth Group

This year, Growth Group will be meeting on Tuesday evenings. (7 pm at the Sinclair's.). We will start Tuesday January 28th.

Tuesday evenings in Seddon doesn't suit everybody, so let's talk about other options as well.

AGM

Sunday March 2nd, after 9 am service.

Ripple Effect Training

We’ve got an exciting workshop coming up to help us grow in sharing our faith. The Ripple Effect Evangelism Training, led by Julie-anne Laird.

It’s happening in Blenheim on Sunday, 9 March, 1:00pm–4:00pm at Nativity Church, 76 Alfred Street.

You’ll learn how to share your faith with confidence, connect with your community, pray with purpose, and embrace a life of mission.

Youth (Intermediates) and Families Worker

We are seeking a staff member for the church to minister to intermediates (year 7 to 11’s) in our parish. The goals for the role are:

·         To evangelise and disciple year 7 – 11’s in the parish.

·         To equip parents to nurture long-term faith in their families. 

·         To develop youth and families leadership skills. 

·         To develop their Christian Character

The Awatere Christian Joint Venture (www.acjv.org.nz) is seeking someone who has a passion for youth (intermediates) ministry and a heart to serve to join our mission.

The role is part time (12 hours pw.). It is a two-year fixed term role. The key components of the role are Sunday ministry, midweek outreach and encouraging families.
